Q: What’s the best way to stay informed about upcoming events and new information added to the IN[FOCUS] blog?

A: The most effective way is to sign up for our newsletter (look to your right), but if you’re not a huge fan of receiving newsletters or afraid that you might miss it’s arrival there’s always our social networking efforts through Facebook and Twitter.

IN[FOCUS] 2010 – Austin FAQs

Q: I plan on attending IN[FOCUS] 2010 in Austin where do I register?

A: Click on this link. It will take you to our registration page. There you can register for the event and find out how you can book your hotel room ($109 per night) at the DoubleTree Hotel. Rooms at that rate are limited so book as early as you can.

Q: What is included with my $595 fee:

A: In addition to your IN[FOCUS] sessions your fee provides you with Continental Breakfast each morning, light snacks on your breaks and then on Tuesday night “dinner is on us” plus a “little something extra”. There are restaurants in the hotel and a couple within walking distance for your in between meals.

BONUS: You receive a 1yr subscription with EventDV Magazine with your registration.

Q: Can we share a room?

A: Yes you can.

Q: Can I bring my spouse?

A: Of course. If he/she is going to be an attendee – fork up the $595 so that he/she can get the receive the full “IN[FOCUS] experience”. Just coming along for the fun of it, but wants to be part of the activities on Tuesday night — $30 at the door will get her/him a pass to the event plus an information packet full of daytime things to do and see in Austin.

Q: When should I arrive?

A: Sessions start on Monday morning so a Sunday arrival is suggested. We do have some “very special” electives  in the works starting at noon on Sunday so don’t schedule your flights until you hear what we have planned.  (Announcements will be made by Nov 1).

Q: When should I depart?

A: Thursday is our scheduled departure day.

The last session will end around 5pm with a re-cap session to follow so you might as well spend the night. We’re going to have our Focus Room open where everyone can “unwind” after an intense/fun week.  If you have to leave our suggestion is to book you flight 8pm or later.

Q: Should I bring my laptop and/or video camera?

A: We encourage it. We ask that you not video the sessions but many attendees like to document their experience with their cameras.
