The Art of the Interview
We all have different passions and motivations when it comes to filmmaking. Meg Simone wants to share hers with you: Producing a well-crafted, thoughtful, and emotion inducing film requires a solid narrative. Without compelling audio to create that narrative, you are simply providing images and music, which, many people could argue is not the definition of a “story”.
Join Meg in her breakout session to learn about capturing stories through informal interviews.
Attendees can expect to learn:
How to build an interview based off of information you’re presented with
How to help your subject relax so they’re not overly self-conscious
How to listen for cues that will enhance your story
Attendees will be provided information in advance on the story and subject. As a group they will come up with questions and physically interview subjects live!
