This past week on our private livestream for the InFocus filmmaking community, we spoke with Taky Cheung, who lead a break-out session on data storage at our conference last year. Originally from Hong Kong, Taky Cheung is a fun individual who always has data storage tips for filmmakers in our community. After college, he was a computer trainer in Hong Kong and eventually came to the United States to study for his Master’s Degree in Digital Media in Texas. With a studio presence in Pasadena, CA, his company, LA Color, specializes in Asian weddings and special events with photography and cinematography services. As true entrepreneur, Taky started a spin off company in 2009, LA Color Pros, which sells photography and videography gear. Some of his notable clients include RODE Microphones and Comer LED Lights.
Taky’s generosity with his knowledge means that on any given day, you’re sure to find him helping out other filmmakers with data recovery and storage advice.
